Alex Gouthro, known to many as 'Moose Man' Gouthro, is a well-known educator, outdoor writer, videographer, and video producer from Thunder Bay, Ontario. Alex is a member of the Outdoor Writers of Canada (OWC) and has over 30 published articles to his credit. For over 18 years he has also specialized in outdoor audio and video productions related to moose, moose hunting, & moose calling. His latest DVD, 'Gouthro's Moose Madness 'Quick-Fix' For The Hunter', recently received second place standing in the Television/Video Category of the 2009 OMC/Shimano National Communication Awards Contest. Always a promoter of hunting education, Alex was an Ontario Hunter Education Instructor for over 20 years before specializing in bowhunting, and has been an International Bowhunter Education Instructor since then. Today he is an IBEP Master Instructor - Bowhunter Education , and training new IBEP instructors in the Northwestern Ontario region has become an on-going job. With the assistance of friend, Master Instructor Bob Pearce, five new instructors were recently certified (May, 2009), with more to come. Alex has also been a contributing member of the Bowhunter Advisory Committee to the Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters for over 18 years and is still active on this Committee.

Seminar Delivery Finally, Alex thoroughly enjoys working with people, and shares his passion for hunting and other related topics through Seminar Delivery. These seminars most often include audience participation on stage, and, where appropriate, are backed by action-packed video so that the audience can see what is being talked about. Because the seminars are always designed to educate, the audience always learns! Viewers are invited to contact Alex to learn more details about his seminars.

Advanced Moose Calling Techniques & Anatomy / Shot Placement 4. 20 Ways To Improve Your Moose Hunts 5. Understanding The Challenges Of Bowhunting Moose and 6. Practice Your Moose Hunting Skills -- Shoot With Your Camera! These three seminars are each about 55 minutes in length and can be delivered either as a series, or as stand-a-lone units. Of course, seminars can be adjusted to fit the needs of the group hosting the seminars.

The 'Gouthro's Moose
Madness' site introduces
and gives full descriptions of Alex's
'Moose Madness' Audio/Visual Instructional Programs'. In 2005 Alex completed the "Gouthro's Moose MadnessTM Series On Moose Hunting & Calling", a six-hour, four-DVD video series on moose hunting & calling. This was a natural extension of his audio cassette program, and his efforts resulted in the most comprehensive video program ever produced on the subject. New Product!
In November, 2008 Alex
completed the
"Gouthro's Moose MadnessTM
'Quick-Fix' For The Hunter", a
comprehensive two-hour DVD video covering all the essentials needed for
the hunter to become an expert moose hunter & caller. While not as
extensive as the six-hour Moose Madness Series, this single DVD
is crammed-packed with valuable instruction for both beginner and
old-time moose hunters & callers alike. This DVD recently received second place standing in the
Television/Video Category of the 2009 OMC/Shimano National Communication
Awards Contest. 'Northern Ontario Bowhunter Services' Site Consulting Services for Moose Outfitters Alex is an avid hunter, and works on a consulting basis with Moose and Caribou hunt outfitters in Ontario and Quebec through his business Northern Ontario Bowhunter Services. When Alex was filming and
producing the Moose Madness Series, a six-year project, he learned a
great deal about constructing and editing outdoor educational films.
He now produces promotional videos for hunting & fishing outfitters, and
also provides video editing and DVD authoring services for others
through
Northwest Video Productions.
